Manifesto

"We will create international platforms for youth-led cooperation, respecting cultural diversity while fostering a pluralistic and united global community with a shared destiny."
II. Our Commitment: Intergenerational Justice and the Responsibility of Youth

Human civilization is a precious inheritance passed down from our ancestors. Everything we do today will in turn become part of that legacy, carried forward by generations to come. This awareness establishes the core principle of all our actions: Intergenerational Justice. It demands that today’s development must not come at the cost of tomorrow’s depletion. And the primary actors in fulfilling this justice are none other than successive generations of youth.
We are committed to building a platform that enables young people today to actively participate in shaping the world they will one day inherit. This is not only their right, but also the most sacred responsibility of our generation toward the future. Our promise is to ensure that their voices are heard and their strength is recognized.

I. Our Perspective: Gazing at Civilization Through the Eye of the Comet

Above us, the stars move with ceaseless vitality. The comet—once observed across different regions and recorded in different languages throughout the growth of human civilization—became, after Edmond Halley’s precise calculations of its orbit, the finest cosmic timekeeper weaving together the history of the world. Its two punctual returns at the beginning and end of the twentieth century marked pivotal moments when human civilization stepped from an old order into a new era. With the span of a human lifetime, it has borne witness both to our individual existence and to the repeated transformations of human civilization. The year 2061 will bring its first return after the new millennium. By then, will the world seen through the comet’s eye have grown more civilized? We will measure our responsibility to the future against the cosmic clock of Halley’s Comet.

III. Our Vision: Four Pillars for a Sustainable Future

To fulfill this intergenerational commitment, we propose a global action framework that aligns deeply with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) while also striving to enrich and advance them. This framework rests on four pillars:

  • Zhengde (Responsible Governance): We aim to build a cross-cultural, multi-stakeholder platform for dialogue on science, technology governance, and ethics, ensuring that responsible governance becomes the cornerstone of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and bioengineering.

  • Liwu (Inclusive Prosperity): As a “development incubator” for the Global South and local communities, we connect capital, technology, and markets to empower community-led sustainable industries, ensuring that the fruits of prosperity are shared as widely as possible.

  • Housheng (Ecological Harmony): We advocate and practice a development model that deeply integrates aesthetics, ecology, and economics, working with global partners to restore Earth as a poetic home of ecological harmony.

  • Weihe (Diversity and Solidarity): We believe dialogue is the only path to resolving conflict and building trust. We will create international platforms for youth-led cooperation, respecting cultural diversity while fostering a pluralistic and united global community with a shared destiny.

IV. Our Actions: Join This Shared Journey of Civilization

A vision begins with action. We are committed to being active builders, constructive contributors, and innovative drivers within global governance frameworks such as the United Nations. We invite you to join this great journey in three ways:

  1. Explore Our Solutions:
We believe that grand goals must be translated into concrete, actionable projects. Acting as both a “development incubator” and a “resource connector,” we are collaborating with local communities worldwide to advance a series of innovative solutions aimed at achieving the UNSDGs. Browse our project portfolio to discover partnership opportunities, and let us together become a force for change.

  2. Contribute Your Wisdom:
Thought precedes action. Our publication platforms and supported forums provide arenas where the world’s leading thinkers exchange ideas. We invite you to share your research, debate your perspectives, and contribute your wisdom to shaping our shared future.

  3. Join Our Dialogue Across Time and Space:
We seek to build bridges of dialogue linking past, present, and future. In 1938, Albert Einstein sent a time capsule to the future; in 1977, the “Golden Record” carrying the voices of Earth was launched deep into space aboard Voyager. In response to our predecessors, we invite you to send your message to the year 2061. Together with millions of others’ hopes, it will be safeguarded until the day Halley’s Comet returns. We will also track in real time the cosmic journey of Voyager 1, reminding ourselves that we are a shared community of destiny within a vast universe.

Conclusion

Seventy-six years is enough for an infant to grow into a sage.

Seventy-six years is enough for a civilization to choose its destiny.

Standing at the threshold between present and future, we gaze upon ourselves and our civilization—through the eye of the comet.
